The failure of the Israelite movement to enter Canaan was emulated by the antitypical Israel. Unfortunately, the antitype is always of greater extent than the type and the experience of the Advent movement clearly demonstrates this phenomenon. Parallels between Caleb and Joshua and the events that occurred in 1888 bring out this relationship between type and antitype.
